What happens when you’re too advanced for storytime but not quite old enough for many of the other elementary programs? Early Reader Book Club is a program that the Anne Arundel County Public Library in Maryland has used to address this underserved age group. This program provides children a safe place to practice emerging literacy skills, a deeper understanding and familiarity of the early reader collection, and fun hands-on activities.
