Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to create an information literacy digital divide for disadvantaged and at-risk library patrons, but also harnesses tremendous power in assisting librarians to promote equitable information literacy.

This interactive session will provide participants with opportunities to engage in discussion regarding information literacy equity issues related to AI. Resources and implementation strategies will be shared that promote and cultivate equitable access to information using AI. The vital role of librarian interaction with students/patrons in the use of AI in information literacy instruction and reference and information services will be discussed in this interactive session.
