Salisbury University held their second annual Banned Books Week event this year in collaboration with Wicomico Public Library that brought together a range of perspectives, expertise, and experiences to discuss the importance of diverse collections and how to address concerns of intellectual freedom in our schools and communities. Inviting students from Wicomico County High Schools to share their experience, this panel led to insightful conversations. We will recreate this panel for the MLA/DLA Conference, offering the library workers of MD and DE to hear and share in this important experience of bringing many voices to the IF discussion table.
